She did not misspeak, she did not forget, she did not confuse details (on several occasions). She outright lied.
Being shot at is not something you forget, unless maybe it’s a daily occurrence, say you are fighting on the front lines. Barring that, if someone is trying to kill you, I’d wager it leaves a lifelong, indelible impression in your memory.
